Brazil
Brazil is a huge country with vast natural resources and a vibrant, expanding, youthful population that doesn’t suffer from tropical storms and hurricanes, doesn’t get involved in wars, isn’t a terrorist target and seems to be happily multi racial and multi cultural. That doesn’t mean everything in the rose garden is hunkey dorey – far from it. Much of the population is poor and some of the cities in the South have serious crime problems. But things are going in the right direction so now is the perfect time to climb aboard a bandwagon that is only just beginning to roll.
Joao Pessoa near Natal in Northern Brazil. Great access for flights from the UK, a well established and safe tourist area and some very well priced resale properties. We also have some new build and off plan investments here. My local partner is Debbie Steel who will be pleased to meet you from the airport, familiarize you with the area and show you homes.
Recife, Itamaraca and all the surrounding areas. A longish drive or very short flight from Natal or a longer flight from Salvadore. Definitely an area on the up as it is little known to foreign buyers. Prices are good, the area excellent and a very large selection of property. A great investment choice! If you let us know when you are planning to come to Recife we can arrange for Peter Zorab , our recommended property manager to meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation. At the same time that will give him a chance to arrange a tour of the various areas and viewings of suitable properties.
Aracaju. A short flight or longish drive from Salvadore. Bill Sephton, my man about town will meet you at the airport and show you everything. He has some property in Salvadore but reckons Aracaju is a much better bet because of the amazing local micro climate. Most Brazilians agree with him as there is a lot of development aimed at the locals in the area. It can never be wrong to buy what the locals buy.
Marica, Buzios and Angra Dos Reis near Rio de Janeiro. Hard to believe that the Copacabana beach and Rio airport are only an hour away. This area needs no introduction but it is safe, wealthy, beautiful and still very reasonably priced. My local colleague Anthony Giuffrida can have you met at the airport and will offer rental accommodation for your stay as well as showing you property. Rents will be set against the purchase price of your property.
We are however always on the look out for new areas that offer exceptional opportunities so expect the list to grow!
