La Rabita also has some small convenience stores for daily provisions. It is 10 minutes drive inland to Albunol, with a larger selection of facilities, or a little further, eastwards along the coast, to the large and thriving town of Adra with supermarkets, restaurants, marina, etc. Access to Almeria airport is less than an hour; Malaga and Granada airports are approximately 2 hours, although this travel time will be significantly reduced when the new coastal motorway is completed.
The advantages of La Rabita are that it is a peaceful setting right by the beach and as such offers an excellent opportunity for holiday or investment in an area that is currently at the start of a development cycle.
